Shaped to harbor sweeping views, this distinctive contemporary design challenges the idea of what a barndominium is; combining a metal envelope and ample post frame garage space to the sleek yet cozy Scandinavian style.
Maximizing opportunities for views and isolating different levels of privacy, this home is made up of 4 joined masses: The garage and shop mass. The entry, kitchen, and dining/rec mass. The joining great
room mass. And the bedrooms mass. Visually this is beneficial by breaking the home down from a mono- lithic form into what appears like a hamlet of small homes in a more human scale. These masses also
have functional benefits to allow more opportunities for varies sides of fenestration and isolation from noise in the other masses. Configurativablity is also greatly expanded by these masses with an ease of changing the design before constriction; expanding or contracting the different masses to best match personal needs.
Within a covered front porch, akin to classic barndominiums, sits the main entry. This entry opens into a dedicated foyer sitting between the garage mudroom and the flexible central sitting/dining space. All necessary support rooms are consolidated here for ease of access and circulation. To the plan north a large designer kitchen is situated with a pantry that acts as a natural extension when needed. The plan north kitchen wall is opportune to host a variety of window configurations based on personal preferences to bring in further light. Adjacent to the kitchen sits a flexible dining or additional family room. This space takes advantage of the gabled roof line to bring in ample light and can easily adjusted pre-construction to be either opened up entirely to the kitchen or completely separated.
Acting as the core of the home and connecting the kitchen wing to the bedroom wing is the great room. This great room has enough space between the kitchen to either house additional sitting or the dining room. Windows on both sides of the great-room look through the flanking porches and allow for unrivaled opportunities for views.
Bedrooms are isolated in their own wing to provide more privacy and sound separation. Three bedrooms sit around a sizable bathroom while the master suite holds a vaulted space with ample fenestration and privacy. The center of the bedroom wing holds the laundry, utility, and storage rooms.
The large garage connecting into the entry through a dedicated mudroom has three car ports, ample stor- age to the side as well as two large bays behind that lead into a workshop behind the safe. This garage/
shop has a highly adjustable design and can easily be changed prior to construction.

A base plan set consists of several sheets, each sheet focusing in on different functions of the home. These sheets communicate and display the necessary information to price and construct this home. Depending on the building codes of your state or county, there may be some adjustments and additions necessary to the plans in order to comply with regulations before construction can begin. Provides typical notes, requirements, indexes, legends, and guides. Colored renderings are shown here for graphic representation only.
Floor Plans
Show the overall dimensioned layout of the home; focusing on wall, door, window, cabin- etry, and plumbing locations.
Elevation Sheets
Displays the verticle view of the home and focuses in on the materials and architec- tural elements used on the exterior.
Sections Sheets
Cuts through the home to clearly indicate the assembly of materials.
Detail Sheets: Highlight the assembly of an area.
Reflected Ceiling Plan Sheets
Highlights ceiling elements, beams, and heights from a ceiling plan. Schedules: Itemizes units, i.e. doors and windows.
Roof Plan Sheet
Indicates roof angles, ridge & valley locations, and roof elements i.e. gutters.
Electrical Plan Sheet
Indicates the locations of lights, light pulls, outlets, fans, data, TV, and electri- cal appliances in a plan view.
Foundation Plan Sheet
Displays the layout and location of the slab foundation.

Displays the verticle view of interior walls within the home, focusing on cabinetry placement.
Truss Plans
Provides truss layouts for ease of refrence. The final truss design will have to be con- firmed by manufacturer and/or engineer.
As site conditons, codes, and regulations vary between each project location, our plans do not include mechanical, plumbing, detailed truss, and structural drawing sheets.

Our plans include basic electrical layouts. However, plumbing and HVAC plans are typically designed by a local engineer or on-site by your contractor based on your chosen fixtures and local building codes.
Some areas may require additional documentation, architectural and/or engineering stamps. We recommend checking with your local permitting office before purchasing.
